Abstrakt

Media education is a very important element of the primary prevention of addictions carried out within the school, peer and family environment. It allows you to shape proper attitudes to prevent and limit the phenomenon of Internet addiction and its various forms. Dependence on the use of new media has become a global problem, which is why upbringing to use new media should become an obligatory practice at every stage of education. In the current state of education in Poland, this problem is minimized, and activities in this area limited and dispersed within various subjects, which makes it often ineffective and incomplete education. The article deals with the issue of media education and addiction to new media.
