The analyses are based on the results of the research entitled „Men serving prison sentences with regards to sex life and sex partners” carried out in the years 2013-14 among 485 prisoners. It was stated that religious commitment (including strong faith and regular religious practices) is a very important factor that abstains minors from undertaking sexuality activity. Believing in God, without being engaged in religious practices cannot be treated as a factor that discourages adolescents from undertaking risky sexual activities. The ones who believe in God and regularly go to church constitute a lower percentage of adolescents who decided for sex initiation when they were under the age of 18; throughout their lives they have had less sexual experiences and less sex partners.
