Abstrakt

The subject of an article is mental health of migrants. The author has introduced a definition of migration as well as statistical data picturing the magnitude of current migration flows. The author has characterized health problems occurring most frequently in migrants. She has also explained the reasons for raising risk of disease incidents in the population of migrants, which include: adaptation difficulties, culture shock, lack of migration support networks and personality traits of immigrants. The author has also brought up an issue of prevention of mental health problems of migrants.
