The processes connected with the cross-generational transmission in the family constitute an interesting matter for numerous researchers. One can notice that mostly the essence and mechanisms of family generational message are pointed out. Therefore, how should one understand the issue of moral responsibility in the context of the conveyed content of generational heritage? How significant for the process of personal identity formation is cross-generational transmission in the family? The considerations which were undertaken refer to the integral concept
of a human being, Christian vision of marriage and family, as well as personal ethics. The goal of the following article is to indicate the importance of mutual interactions in the family for the process of personal identity formation in the light of the transgression theory, and simultaneously, with regard to the issue of moral responsibility.
