Abstract

The aim of the study was to detect factors which significantly influence quality and prosperity of a marriage according to young adults. Methods. The Scale of Marital Prosperity by M. Braun-Gałkowska was used to assess real and ideal picture of  marriage. 25 couples of young marriages took part in the study. Results. The study revealed statistically significant differences in real and ideal picture of marriage in 23 from 46 considered dimensions responsible for the quality of marriage relationship. Conclusions. There are important guidelines which – according to young adults – have significant meaning for the quality of marriage and predict success in the marriage durability.
