Personalistic norm, friendship and reciprocal gift of a person to a person in Karol Wojtyla`s philosophy of marriage

Abstract

The aim of the article is to reconstruct the ultimate norm of morality in Karol Wojtyla`s sexual ethics. For this purpose, it is necessary” to find an answer to the question of the relationship between „the personalistic norm” and the ideal of marital love as the „gift of the person” “betrothed love”). The paper shows that Wojtyla`s sexual ethics is rooted in the Aristotelian concept of marriage as a form of friendship.
