Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the body image and physical activity in the group of pregnant women and in the postpartum. The research was carried out using two questionnaires in the Polish language version: The Exercise Addiction Inventory (EAI) and the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ).
The results indicate that pregnant and puerperal women who declared systematic physical activity differ in body image compared to those who are active only occasionally. The former presents a more positive body image. It has been proven that the majority of active women are accompanied by
a strong motivation to achieve mass and pre-pregnancy body size in a short time.
