Abstract
The article centres around the culturally creative dimension of the family in the spiritual context which is expressed through words, symbols, rituals and values. The purpose of this article is introducing the meaning of Christian traditions in creating the spiritual culture of resettled Polish families after 1945 form the Eastern Borderlands to the area of Warmia and Masuria and the impact on their two subsequent generations. The research is answering the question: What was the role of the Christian tradition in structing the spirituals culture of Polish families resettled form the Eastern Borderlands to the area of Warmia and Masuria and their later generations? The subject of the research is the experiences of mothers, daughters and granddaughters gathered using a strategy of quality. The data source consists of 90 interviews (30 families) partially guided, focused on the problem. The results of women’s experiences: mothers, daughters and granddaughters show changes in the symptoms of the rooted Christian tradition in the aspect of constructing spiritual culture and comparing its significance functioning of subsequent generations.
