Abstract
The article deals with the personal reflection of Father Joseph Wresinski derived from many years of work among the homeless, the poor and social outcasts. Father Joseph Wresinski relates what he learned during his pastoral ministry in the camp for the homeless from the families living there.
The article was structured on the basis of the following research questions: How did Father Wresinski define poverty; how a poor person can be understood as an image of Jesus Christ: what knowledge originates from the poor.
