Abstrakt

The difficult situation in which the whole society suddenly found itself due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic causing the COVID-19 disease, has disintegrated everyday life, arousing fear and carrying many negative consequences. Children with disabilities and their families are in a difficult position, for whom the pandemic crisis also overlaps with other problems related to disability. The main purpose of the article is to present the actual situation of children with disabilities and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the review of the current literature based on the EBM (Evidence-Based Medicine) paradigm, the characteristics of the functioning and selected problems of this group, as well as the negative effects of the pandemic affecting it, have been presented.
