Abstrakt

Na przebieg porodu wpływ ma wiele czynników, z których jedynie niektóre podlegają kontroli kobiety rodzącej i/lub personelu medycznego. Postęp porodu warunkują następujące czynniki: budowa anatomiczna miednicy i konsystencja tkanek miękkich, czynność skurczowa macicy,  położenie i ułożenie płodu oraz nastawienie rodzącej. W artykule opisano stosowane współcześnie techniki i metody mające na celu usprawnienie  przebiegu porodu w przypadku nieoptymalnego wstawiania się płodu w miednicę.
