Abstract
Over the past centuries one can notice a clash between idealistic and realistic ideologicalperspectives, which brings about a diverse understanding of the new man's ideal. This article offers aninterpretation of the homo novus profile in the current of philosophical realism in terms of Christianpersonalism. Understood in this way, a general and timeless educational ideal means becoming alterChristus. In contrast to the one-sided interpretation of postmodern times in the "post-x" perspective, anactive and creative attitude arising from Christian hope is also possible. It inspires to become ananimator of a civilization of love. Father Józef Kentenich’s pedagogy presents an interesting, insightfuland timely specification of the path towards the newness of humanity understood in this way.Particularly noteworthy here is the conception of the personal ideal as well as the ideal of the newcommunity built on the foundation of the covenant of love. The content of the homo novus profilepresented by the founder of Schoenstatt is an authentic, inspirational educational ideal at the turn ofthe 21st century.
