Abstrakt
Niniejszy artykuł stanowi analizę ewolucji amerykańskiego ekosystemu edukacyjnego w obliczu gwałtownej dyfuzji technologii mobilnych oraz pandemii COVID-19. Głównym celem opracowania jest zbadanie dychotomii między destrukcyjnym wpływem smartfonów na dobrostan adolescentów a rewitalizacją telewizji edukacyjnej jako inkluzywnego narzędzia dydaktycznego. W pierwszej części tekstu poddano analizie zjawisko „dzieciństwa opartego na smartfonie”. Przywołując szereg badań z okresu po pandemii, autor wskazuje na korelację między nieograniczonym dostępem do mediów społecznościowych a narastającym kryzysem zdrowia psychicznego, atrofią relacji społecznych oraz fragmentacją poznawczą uczniów. Smartfony, zdefiniowane jako potężne wektory dystrakcji, wymusiły na amerykańskich ustawodawcach wprowadzenie rygorystycznych ograniczeń ich użytkowania w szkołach w celu przywrócenia efektywności procesów kształcenia. Wyraźnie zawiodły jako narzędzia edukacji. Druga część artykułu koncentruje się na postpandemicznej redefinicji roli technologii w edukacji. Doświadczenie lockdownu na polu edukacji, obok kryzysu w osiąganiu celów kształcenia, stało się katalizatorem innowacji. Autor analizuje proces przejścia od doraźnego e-learningu ku zaawansowanym modelom hybrydowym, integrującym sztuczną inteligencję (AI) w celu personalizacji nauczania i zmiany roli nauczycieli. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono renesansowi telewizji edukacyjnej. Dzięki wysokiej inkluzywności (zasięg 97%) oraz wdrożeniu nowych standardów technologicznych (ATSC 3.0, EduCast), telewizja stała się kluczowym instrumentem powstrzymującym wykluczenie cyfrowe, oferując stabilność w regionach o słabej infrastrukturze sieciowej. Autor odnosi się także do przełomowych zmian strukturalnych w latach 2025-2026, w tym do likwidacji Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Proces ten, kończący erę scentralizowanych mediów publicznych w USA, wymusił zwrot ku modelom regionalnym oraz strategiczne partnerstwa sektora publicznego z platformami streamingowymi (np. NASA i Netflix). Artykuł dowodzi, że współczesna telewizja edukacyjna, ewoluując w kierunku interaktywnego narzędzia wspomaganego przez AI, pozostając niezbędnym, choć ewoluującym fundamentem amerykańskiej infrastruktury oświatowej.
