Pojednanie z Bogiem w teologii Reginalda Garrigou-Lagrange’a

Abstrakt

The aim of the following article is to analyze the characteristics of reconciliation between God and man in the teachings of Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange (OP). The first part of the article focuses on the conception of sin, which author describes as stupidity (stultitia) and disobedience to the will of God. The second part describes the conversion of sinner. The role of grace and prayer in the process of conversion is highlighted. The third part analyses the reconciliation with God in relation to the concept of a man's soul as a temple of the Holy Trinity. In the last part the reconciliation between God and man is described as the starting point on the road to Christian perfection. The theory of the three conversions and three stages of interior life is briefly described. According to Garrigou-Lagrange every soul is either turned towards God or its turned away from his Creator. Reconciliation is described as an immense change from the state mortal sin to the state of grace.
