Abstrakt

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie idei komunikacji zorientowanej na pacjenta, która stanowi jeden z ważnych elementów opieki zdrowotnej wysokiej jakości. Dobra komunikacja pomiędzy personelem medycznym, w szczególności lekarzem, a pacjentem może w znaczący sposób przyczynić się do satysfakcji pacjenta z opieki, a także zwiększyć szansę na dobór najbardziej adekwatnych metod leczenia pozostających w zgodzie z wartościami pacjentami. Artykuł zawiera propozycje konkretnych komunikatów, które mogą stanowić wskazówkę dla osób pracujących na co dzień z pacjentami. Choć styl komunikacji skoncentrowanej na pacjencie spotyka się z entuzjazmem większości osób nie można zapominać o indywidualnym podejściu do pacjentów, wśród których znajdują się także osoby z różnych przyczyn mogące preferować bardziej dyrektywny, biomedyczny styl komunikacji.
